What to Expect

Our retreat unfolds in one of the country’s most beloved getaway destinations: St. Augustine, recently named Southern Living’s #1 Best Small Town in the South. We’ll gather within the storied walls of the Casa Monica Resort & Spa.

This Moorish Revival landmark dates back to 1888 and has just completed a full guest room renovation, so historic elegance now meets brand-new comfort. Gold-leafed archways and candlelit courtyards set an unforgettable backdrop for a few days of mahjong.

Steps from St. George Street and the Castillo de San Marcos, you can shop and wander in the historic district, unwind at the Poseidon Spa or relax in the Cobalt Lounge between hands.

You’ll enjoy plenty of time at the mahjong tables throughout the retreat, plus have the option for some competitive play with a full day tournament, and of course, we’re keeping the tradition alive with our beloved Mahj & PJs party. Most of all, you’ll leave with new friends and a connection to the warm, welcoming Tile Travelers community.

  • A deposit is required at the time of your registration to reserve your spot and is refundable (less a $100 processing fee) up until December 15, 2026. 

    Final payment is due January 15, 2027 and is non-refundable.

    We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance which may provide coverage for unexpected cancellations and other travel disruptions.
